Most hawks take in the scenery of a dairy farm perched high in the rafters of a free-stall barn. But, most “hawks” aren’t asked to pump up the entire fan-base of the loudest NFL team on record as a full-time job!
Blitz, the hawk mascot of the Seattle Seahawks, was surprised by what he learned as he recently took in the sights of his very first dairy farm in Enumclaw, WA, just 40 miles SE of Seattle.
Dairy farmers across our state work hard to keep their cows happy and healthy and to provide our communities with real, fresh Washington dairy foods. Blitz toured the Krainick Dairy Farm with co-owners Leann and Mike, and learned how and what goes into this hard work— Blitz helped Leann in the milking parlor attach the milking machine to cow udders, feed cows in the barn and in the field, shovel feed in the dairy kitchen, check the tank of milk and drive the field tractor with Mike. These things and much more go into the 24 hour operation that produces the local, delicious milk we love and enjoy. Just ask Blitz.
